GAME SHOW - NINTENDO KEYNOTE SPEECH: |
|
Iwata Saturwa, global
president of Nintendo, outlines his
vision for the future of videogames.
Claiming that the industry is at a cross
roads, and whilst others believe the
industry can continue to grow by
producing more sophisticated hardware,
better graphics, and deeper games, Iwata
argues that current gamers will get
bored, and novice gamers will find the
games too complex. He reveals a strategy
for enticing new people to games, and
giving veteran gamers a fresh experience,
using first the Nintendo DS, and then the
Nintendo Revolution, as examples of
products the breath new life into current
genres, as well as allowing for new
genres. This 30min presentation, covers
NDS, Gameboy Micro, and also features the
unveiling of the Nintendo Revolution's
controller. |
